Jay Hari Agro sees 33% surge in rice business in 2025

Kathmandu: Rice producer Jay Hari Agro, known for brands like Dailo, has reported a strong 33% growth in its business in 2025 compared to 2024.

The company’s revenue rose from Rs 1.234 billion in 2024 to NPR 1.641 billion in 2025, marking a significant jump from Rs 438 million recorded in 2023. The growth has been attributed to high-capacity rice sales during the fiscal year.

Profitability also improved, with net profit reaching 2.99 percent in 2025, up from 2.54 percent in the previous year. The company’s cash reserves increased to NPR 68 million from NPR 52 million in 2024, indicating stronger liquidity.

However, inventory levels saw a sharp rise, growing from Rs 244 million in 2024 to Rs 546 million in 2025, suggesting higher stock holdings to support expanding demand.

Established in 2008, Jay Hari Agro markets processed rice under brands such as ‘Behuli’, ‘Nati Natini’, ‘Budha Budhi’, and ‘Dailo’, offering both long-grain and steamed rice varieties. The company operates with a production capacity of 12 metric tons per hour.

Led by Chairman Aman Kumar Agrawal, the company has secured a credit rating of Rs 1.15 billion for both long-term and short-term borrowing, positioning itself for further expansion.
