Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank conducts free health camp in Rupandehi


Kathmandu: Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank successfully organized a free health camp at Shree Durga Devi Secondary School in Siyari-6, Bardahawa of Rupandehi district, benefiting hundreds of residents.

The camp provided a wide range of medical services, including screenings for orthopaedic and neurological conditions, gynaecology and obstetrics, ear, nose, and throat issues, internal medicine, as well as dental and oral health check-ups. Conducted with technical support from Lumbini Hospital, Lumbini Eye Institute, and Hare Krishna Dental, the initiative saw participation from over 600 individuals.

According to the bank, the primary goal of the program was to help community members identify health issues at an early stage, raise awareness about preventive care, and promote healthier lifestyles. Participants received medical check-ups, consultations, and guidance from a team of experienced doctors, including Dr. Samrat Parajuli, Dr. Alok Thaiv, Dr. Jeevan Atreya, Dr. Anita Pun, Dr. Krishna Bahadur Shrestha, Dr. Bishwo Tulachan, Dr. Prakash Bhattarai, and Dr. Smita Darlami.

Speaking at the event, the bank’s director Bhim Prasad Tulachan emphasized that such health camps play a crucial role in improving community health standards and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to continuing similar initiatives in the future. Likewise, Butwal regional head Hemant Babu Acharya highlighted the importance of raising health awareness through community engagement and expressed the bank’s intention to further strengthen collaboration with local communities.
