Vivanta Kathmandu reports Rs 145 million revenue in 1st half of current fiscal year


Kathmandu: Hotel Vivanta Kathmandu, operated under a joint investment of Chaudhary Group and IG Group, recorded revenue of approximately Rs 145 million in the first six months of the current fiscal year.

The hotel is run by RR Hotels and Resorts, which reported Rs 326 million in revenue in the last fiscal year, Rs 368 million in 2024, and Rs 329 million in 2023, reflecting relatively stable business performance over the years.

Registered in 2014 to develop a five-star property, the company currently operates the hotel in Jhamsikhel. The property runs under the “Vivanta by Taj” brand, which it introduced as a franchise, and has been in commercial operation since 2019.

The hotel operates under a management agreement with The Indian Hotels Company Limited, which has taken over management for an 18-year term.

The company has secured a credit rating of Rs 830 million for both long-term and short-term borrowing, including Rs 810 million allocated for long-term loans and Rs 20 million for short-term financing.

Vivanta Kathmandu is a joint venture between Chaudhary Group and IG Group, with ownership split at 75 percent and 25 percent respectively.
