Kathmandu: With temperatures climbing across Nepal and consumers increasingly seeking modern cooling solutions, CG Electronics has introduced a new range of Crompton air coolers in the Nepali market, targeting both residential and office users.
The newly launched lineup includes desert, tower and personal air coolers designed to address varying cooling needs—from compact personal spaces to larger living rooms and office halls. CG Electronics, which has been distributing Crompton products in Nepal since 2022 through its nationwide dealer and service network, says the move is aimed at offering consumers an affordable alternative to air conditioners ahead of the peak summer season.
Under the latest cooling series, Crompton has rolled out multiple models, including Ozone, Gale, Zelus, Optimus, Surebreeze and JD PAC. The company says the models differ in terms of water tank capacity, air throw and area coverage, allowing customers to choose units according to room size and usage patterns.
According to CG Electronics, the coolers use high-grade honeycomb cooling pads designed to retain moisture efficiently and deliver sustained cooling while also improving product durability. The appliances are equipped with long-life pump systems, four-way air circulation technology and continuous water distribution mechanisms to maintain uniform airflow. Automatic swing louvres have also been integrated to spread cool air evenly across the room.
The company says added motor protection systems have been built in to ensure safer long-term household use, a feature it believes will appeal to families looking for dependable daily cooling appliances.
CG Electronics has positioned the tower coolers as a space-saving option suited for modern homes and apartments, while the personal coolers are intended for small rooms or individual users. For larger spaces requiring stronger airflow, the desert coolers are being marketed as the heavy-duty solution. By launching all three categories simultaneously, the company is attempting to cover the full spectrum of low-cost cooling demand in Nepal’s increasingly warmer urban market.
The Crompton launch also reflects CG Electronics’ broader seasonal push in cooling and home-comfort appliances. In recent weeks, the company has introduced multiple summer-focused campaigns across appliance categories as it prepares for heightened consumer demand before peak heat sets in.
Beyond cooling performance, the company is also trying to drive sales through festive promotions. On the occasion of Nepali New Year 2083, CG Electronics has announced a special consumer scheme under which buyers can receive discounts and participate in lucky draws for gifts. Similar New Year campaigns launched by CG brands this month include cashback offers, QR-based lucky draw participation and bumper prizes across home appliance purchases.
As part of the Crompton-specific campaign, CG Electronics says one buyer will be selected every 15 days through a lucky draw to win a Crompton mixer grinder, while the bumper winner will receive a Midea double-door refrigerator.
Crompton, widely known in South Asia for fans, air coolers, geysers and small kitchen appliances, has gradually been expanding its footprint in Nepal through CG Electronics. While the brand has built a reputation for accessible pricing and broad appliance variety, online consumer discussions in Nepal suggest buyers continue to pay close attention to after-sales support and servicing responsiveness when choosing electronics brands distributed under large multi-brand networks.
