Kathmandu: The government has announced plans to eliminate the long-standing practice of under-invoicing in Nepal’s customs system.
Presenting the government’s policy and program for the fiscal year 2025/26 on Monday, President Ram Chandra Paudel said the administration would move to end the practice of declaring artificially low import values to reduce customs duties and taxes.
The announcement was made during the presentation of the government’s annual policy priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.
