Kathmandu: The government has announced that transformative national projects will be implemented under strict budget ceilings and completion timelines, while officials assigned to such projects will not be transferred until the work is finished.
The announcement was made by President Ram Chandra Paudel while presenting the government’s policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.
Under the new policy, the government said priority transformational projects will receive assured funding within fixed budget limits in an effort to improve implementation efficiency and prevent delays caused by fragmented financing.
The government also pledged to end the frequent transfer of employees working on major projects, stating that officials assigned to projects will remain in their positions until completion to ensure accountability, continuity and timely execution.
