Kathmandu: Sea Links Travels and Tours recorded business transactions worth more than Rs 5 billion in a single fiscal year, reflecting steady growth in Nepal’s travel and aviation services sector.
According to the company, it generated revenue of Rs 5.16 billion in the last fiscal year. The company had posted transactions worth Rs 4.90 billion in 2024 and Rs 4.58 billion in 2023.
Sea Link stated that its overall business volume has grown by 35 percent over the past three years, including a 5 percent increase in the most recent fiscal year.
The company attributed the latest growth primarily to rising air ticket prices. Increased movement of domestic and international tourists, migrant workers, and students during the year also contributed to higher business turnover.
Despite the rise in revenue, the company said it has maintained a profit margin of around 1 percent annually over the past three years.
Its cash reserves, however, have improved. The company’s total cash holdings increased from Rs. 17 million in 2024 to Rs 21 million in the last fiscal year.
Established in 2007, Sea Link Travels provides both domestic and international airline ticketing services. The company is an accredited agent of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and operates through a network of more than 1,500 sub-agents.
The company, chaired by Raju Dhakal, has also received a credit rating covering loans worth Rs 722.3 million. This includes a long-term loan rating of Rs 2.3 million and a short-term loan rating of Rs 720 million.
