Janata Agro & Forestry moves ahead with Rs 500 million IPO plan

Kathmandu: Janata Agro and Forestry Limited has begun preparations to issue shares to the general public through an initial public offering (IPO).

The decision to launch the public offering was approved during the company’s annual general meeting held on December 8, 2025, under which the company plans to issue ordinary shares worth Rs 500 million.

As part of the process, the company has already appointed professional service providers to ensure the IPO is carried out in a transparent, systematic, and legally compliant manner.

Siddhartha Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue and sales manager for the IPO, while CARE Ratings has been assigned to conduct the company’s credit rating.

The company currently has an issued capital of Rs 2.5 billion. Of this amount, Rs 2 billion will remain under promoter ownership, while the remaining Rs 500 million worth of shares will be offered to the public.

Janata Agro says it operates under the concept of “from farm to market,” aiming to meet both domestic and international demand through agricultural and forestry-based production.

The company states that its broader mission is to contribute to building a self-reliant economy by connecting Nepal’s natural resources with human capacity, while supporting the national vision of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis.”

According to the company, continued trust and support from both individual and institutional investors have played a key role in strengthening its institutional growth and credibility in the market.

With the planned IPO, the company says it intends to move forward with greater accountability, expansion, and long-term sustainability.
