Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has announced plans to establish a separate tribunal specifically designed to mediate and resolve commercial disputes. This initiative is aimed at providing a fast-track mechanism for settling business-related legal conflicts, ensuring that such issues are addressed promptly and efficiently without the prolonged delays often associated with the standard judicial system.
Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Waglé shared this proposal while presenting the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 during a joint session of the Federal Parliament. By introducing a dedicated tribunal for commerce, the government intends to improve the investment climate and bolster confidence among entrepreneurs and investors by offering a reliable and streamlined path for legal redress.
