Monsoon remains active: rainfall expected in several places

Kathmandu: Presently, there is an influence of monsoon winds across the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the Monsoon Trough is currently positioned north of its average location.

It is mostly cloudy across the country. Moderate rainfall is occurring in parts of the Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces, and in a few places in the Sudurpashim Province.

There will be generally cloudy conditions across the country today.

Rainfall of moderate intensity and snowfall with thunder/lightning is expected in some places in the mountainous regions of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning in many places in the hilly regions.

Tonight, there will be generally cloudy conditions across the country.

Rainfall of moderate intensity and snowfall with thunder/lightning has been forecast for some places in the mountainous regions of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning at many places in the hilly and Terai regions of Madhesh Province, as well as Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and some places in the hilly regions of Karnali Province.

Possibility for heavy rain remains at one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces.
