NIC ASIA Bank provides IT infrastructure support to schools in Dadeldhura, Rukum West and Achham

Kathmandu: NIC ASIA Bank has taken a significant step toward modernizing rural education by providing essential technological equipment to four community schools across the Dadeldhura, Rukum West, and Achham districts.

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the bank handed over a comprehensive set of IT tools, including laptops, desktop computers, printers, and projectors. This move is designed to integrate digital learning into the traditional classroom environment and streamline administrative operations in some of the country’s more remote educational institutions.

In Dadeldhura, the bank targeted Bhuwaneshwori Secondary School, located in Navadurga Rural Municipality, which serves over 153 students. Recognizing the power of visual aids in enhancing academic comprehension, the bank donated two projectors to the institution. During a formal ceremony held on Wednesday, the bank’s Dadeldhura Branch Manager, Padam Raj Bhatta, presented the equipment to the school’s principal, Deepak Prasad Bhatta, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to improving the quality of public education through modern tools.

The outreach extended to Rukum West, where the bank supported Yamunanand Namuna Secondary School in Musikot Municipality. Given the large student body of over 1,087 individuals, the school faced various logistical and administrative challenges. To assist with these needs, Rukum West Branch Manager Omkar Gharti Magar presented a new printer to Principal Kam Prasad Devkota on Thursday. This contribution is expected to ease the school’s daily operational tasks, allowing staff to focus more on student development.

The support was particularly robust in Achham district, where two schools received significant hardware upgrades to foster digital literacy. Mangala Nepal Rastriya Secondary School in Mangalsen Municipality, which educates more than 483 students, was provided with two laptops, four desktop computers, and a printer. Safebagar Branch Manager Surendra Bahadur Thapa handed over the technology to the School Management Committee Chairperson, Ramesh Bahadur Rawal, and Principal Tej Bahadur Rawal. By providing multiple workstations, the bank aims to give students direct, hands-on experience with information technology.

On the same day, Annapurna Secondary School in Mangalsen-14, Achham, received an identical IT package comprising two laptops, four desktops, and a printer. Safebagar Branch Manager Surendra Bahadur Thapa delivered the equipment to Principal Chhatra Bikram Rawal to benefit the school’s 405 students. NIC ASIA Bank expressed its firm belief that these contributions will bridge the technological gap for students in underserved regions. Beyond academic enrichment, the bank anticipates that this infrastructure will improve administrative efficiency and ensure that quality education and technological access go hand in hand for the next generation of learners.
