Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has officially designated Govinda Bahadur Karki as the nation’s new Chief Secretary, following a decision made during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
This high-level appointment marks a significant transition in the country’s civil service leadership as the administration prepares for a change at the helm of the bureaucracy.
Karki’s appointment comes as the incumbent Chief Secretary, Suman Raj Aryal, is set to complete his term this coming Friday.
Prior to being elevated to the top administrative post, Karki had been serving as a Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, bringing extensive experience from the heart of government operations to his new role.
