ICAN nominates new member to Securities Board of Nepal

Kathmandu: Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) has nominated a new representative to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

ICAN has appointed its Vice President, Anand Raj Sharma Wagle, as a member of SEBON’s Board of Directors.

According to the Securities Act, SEBON’s board includes representatives from both the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and ICAN.

Recently, FNCCI recalled its former representative, Director General Gokarna Awasthi, and replaced him with its Vice President, Hemraj Dhakal.

The ICAN seat on SEBON’s board had remained vacant after Chartered Accountant Nil Saru Magar, the previous nominee, became ICAN’s President. The vacancy has now been filled with the nomination of Vice President Wagle.
