Protesters set fire to Nepali Congress Leader Gagan Thapa’s residence

Kathmandu: Demonstrators have torched the residence of Nepali Congress General Secretary and Member of Parliament Gagan Thapa in Ratopul, Kathmandu.

Protesters vandalized the property before setting it on fire.

The incident follows Monday’s Gen Z-led protests, where government forces left 19 young demonstrators dead, sparking nationwide outrage.

By Tuesday, the protests had spread across the country, with party offices, police posts, and the private homes of political leaders becoming prime targets of public anger.
