Protesters vandalize Supreme Court in Kathmandu, damaging property and equipment

Kathmandu: Protesters vandalized the Supreme Court premises in Kathmandu Tuesday.

They destroyed physical property, vehicles, and computers within the court complex. They also set fire to the building.

This act of destruction is part of the larger nationwide Gen Z movement protesting corruption, nepotism and misgovernance as well as the social media ban.

The protests have escalated sharply since Monday, following the killing of 19 youths by police during demonstrations, sparking increased unrest and attacks on government institutions across the country.
