Kathmandu Mayor urges Gen Z to lead nation, calls for parliament dissolution before talks

Kathmandu: Balendra Shah, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has stated that the Gen Z must now lead the country.

Writing a status on social media, Shah has also urged the Gen Z to be prepared to hold talks with the Army Chief.

However, he insists that the parliament must be dissolved before any such talks take place.

Balen’s status reads as follows:

“We had stated clearly. This is purely a Gen Z movement.

Dear Gen Z, your oppressor has resigned. Now, please be restrained!!

The damage to the nation’s resources is a damage to our own property.

It is essential that you—we—now remain restrained.

Now, your generation must lead the country.

Be prepared!

Also, be prepared to hold talks with the Army Chief.

But remember—the parliament must be dissolved before you engage in talks.”
