Flights halted at Tribhuvan International Airport until noon amid Gen Z protests

Kathmandu: Tribhuvan International Airport will remain closed until 12 pm on Wednesday due to ongoing Gen Z protests.

The airport had already been shut down from 2:30 pm Tuesday until 1 am Wednesday, authorities confirmed.

Meanwhile, Airline Operators Association of Nepal reaffirmed its commitment to serving the public under all circumstances. In a statement issued by its president, Manoj Karki, the association assured that member airlines will continue to prioritize service to the people.

In a separate statement, the association clarified that no helicopter services currently in operation have been used to fly politicians, ministers, or other public figures, rejecting the claims to the contrary.
