Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki and businessman Durga Prasai enter Nepal Army Headquarters amid political unrest

Kathmandu: Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki and controversial businessman Durga Prasai have entered the Nepal Army Headquarters in Kathmandu Thursday.

They were allowed entry with military security, while others were denied access.

The protests organized by the Gen Z groups turned violent Monday, leading to the collapse of the executive, legislative, and judiciary branches. Key leaders including the President and Prime Minister have been placed under army protection, and the army has assumed command of the country.

After the Gen Z groups recommended Karki to lead an interim government, the army brought her to the headquarters for discussions.
