6 bodies found in burned Bhatbhateni store in Chuchepati after Gen-Z protests


Kathmandu: Six charred bodies have been recovered from the Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Chuchepati, which was set on fire and vandalized during the Gen-Z protests on September 9.

According to Shekhar Khanal, spokesperson and information officer of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, the bodies were discovered on Saturday evening.

He said the remains have been sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem examination, though the victims’ identities have not yet been confirmed.
