Kathmandu: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has provided financial assistance for the reconstruction of the Durbar Marg Police Station building in Kathmandu, which was damaged during recent protests that saw incidents of arson and vandalism across the country.
The bank stated that the support was extended to help carry out urgent repairs and other civil works at the police office, as the damaged building had made it difficult to carry out even basic administrative functions.
Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank expressed confidence that the reconstruction and repair efforts at the Durbar Marg Police Station will be completed more quickly with this support, adding that the contribution would serve as “another brick” in the rebuilding effort.
The bank also confirmed that all its services have now been fully restored, and its digital banking services are operating securely.
