Kathmandu: Bhagwati Hydropower has announced a 20 percent dividend for its shareholders.
The decision was made at a board of directors’ meeting held on Friday, where the company proposed distributing dividends from the profit of the fiscal year 2024/25.
The proposal includes 14 percent bonus shares, amounting to Rs 83.29 million, along with a 6 percent cash dividend to cover tax obligations related to the bonus shares.
To endorse the dividend proposal, the company has called its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 19. For the purpose of the AGM, the company will close its shareholders’ register (book closure) on October 7. Accordingly, shareholders recorded up to October 6 will be eligible to receive the proposed dividend and attend the AGM.
Once approved by the AGM, the proposed dividend will be distributed to the company’s shareholders.
