Mahavir Agro Products’ business declines by 50% in 2025 compared to last year


Kathmandu: The business of Mahavir Agro Products has decreased by 50 percent. The company’s business has declined by 50 percent in 2025 compared to 2024. The company had done business worth Rs 3.16 billion rupees in 2024.

In 2025, with a decrease in business, it has only done business worth Rs 1.517. The company had done business worth Rs 2.24 billion in 2023.

Established in 2021, the company started commercial operations from 2023. The company has been processing paddy and selling and distributing it under various brands. The company has been selling and distributing processed rice under the brands Rajhans, Nepali Chulo, and Good Luck.

The company has a capacity to process 84 thousand metric tons of paddy annually. The industry is located in Parsa, and the ownership includes 45 percent by Mukti Kumar Agarwal, 37 percent by Ratan Lal Kedia, 11 percent by Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, and 8 percent by Dipti Agarwal.

The company has been importing paddy from India, processing it, and producing rice. According to the company, with a 50 percent decrease in business in the last fiscal year, there has been a significant reduction in working capital investment and debt levels. Similarly, the company’s working capital intensity has increased sharply to 60 percent in the last fiscal year, compared to only 32 percent in 2024.

The company has obtained a rating for Rs 1.78 billion for long-term and short-term loans. The company has obtained a rating of Rs 1.5 billion for long-term loans and Rs 730 million for short-term loans.
