Kathmandu: The stock market has witnessed a double-digit decline as the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell 11.29 points to close at 2,596.12 on Thursday, the final trading day of the week.
On the previous trading day, Wednesday, the NEPSE had risen 12.17 points to reach 2,607. Trading volume on Thursday amounted to Rs 5.41 billion, compared to Rs 4.62 billion on Wednesday.
Among the stocks traded today, share prices of 77 companies increased, while 165 declined. Nine companies saw stable prices.
Darmakholah Hydropower Energy and Mabilung Energy hit positive circuit breakers, while Samriddhi Microfinance Company’s shares triggered a negative circuit breaker.
