Altitude Air soars with Rs 560 million turnover in FY 2024/25, posts 18% net profit and expands fleet


Kathmandu: Altitude Air, a leading provider of domestic helicopter services in Nepal, has recorded an impressive turnover of Rs 560 million in the last fiscal year.

The company achieved Rs 502 million in turnover in 2024 and Rs 478 million in 2023.

Business volume grew by 12 percent in 2025 compared to 2024.

Altitude Air reported an 18 percent net profit for the fiscal year, with total cash reserves reaching Rs 200 million—up from Rs 146 million in 2024.

The company recently acquired and operationalized a new helicopter, which began service in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.

Founded in 2015, Altitude Air commenced commercial operations in October 2016.

The airline operates three Airbus H125 helicopters, offering charter flights, mountain flights, rescue operations, medical evacuations (medevac), pilgrimage flights, aerial filming, and cargo sling services.

One of the company’s helicopters was involved in an accident last month.

Altitude Air provides regular services to Everest Base Camp, Lukla, Muktinath, and Pokhara.

The company has secured credit ratings for long-term and short-term loans totaling Rs 850.7 million.

This includes ratings for Rs 630.1 million in long-term loans and Rs 220.5 million in short-term facilities.

Nima Nuru Sherpa serves as the company’s chairman. Sherpa brings over three decades of experience in the tourism sector.
