Kathmandu: Nepal has introduced its first electric wheel loader, marking a significant milestone in sustainable construction equipment. Explore Earth Movers, a subsidiary of the Panchakanya Group, has officially launched the state-of-the-art machine into the Nepali market.
The advanced electric wheel loader was unveiled at a special ceremony held at the Panchakanya Group’s head office in Ward No. 3, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Krishnagal.
Explore Earth Movers has long been distributing various construction equipment and machinery. The company states that introducing this new model will contribute to promoting eco-friendly technology. It is expected to support the Nepali government’s priority on electric vehicles and the campaign to promote green energy.
According to the company, the new model is an advanced device that is environmentally friendly, consumes less energy, and can be operated with minimal maintenance costs. The smart battery technology and energy management system used in it enable prolonged operation on a single charge. Moreover, as it operates with low noise, it is anticipated to be particularly useful in urban construction sites, industrial areas, and environmentally sensitive zones.
The new electric wheel loader features a 180.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, 60 kW regular and 90 kW maximum motor power, and bucket capacity ranging from 1.5 to 3.0 m³ (standard 2.1 m³), the company has informed.
