Kathmandu – Barun Hydropower Company Limited has proposed a 5 percent total dividend for its shareholders from the earnings of fiscal year 2024/25.
The decision was approved at the board meeting held on 19 November 2025. The dividend package, based on the company’s current paid-up capital of Rs 1.07163 crore, consists of 4.75 percent bonus shares and 0.25 percent cash dividend (solely to cover tax obligations on the bonus shares).
This brings the total payout to exactly 5 percent.
The proposal will be tabled for final approval at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Upon ratification, the dividend will be distributed to eligible shareholders.
Barun Hydropower, one of Nepal’s listed hydropower developers, continues to reward investors despite sector-wide challenges such as delayed project timelines and regulatory hurdles.
