Kathmandu: Islington College successfully concluded its two-day grand graduation ceremony at The Plaza, Lalitpur, conferring degrees upon students from its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The graduation ceremony is regarded as a formal transition from a long academic journey to professional life, where the knowledge, skills, and discipline acquired by students are expected to play a vital role in shaping their future.
Students from undergraduate programs including BSc (Hons) Computing, BSc (Hons) Computer Networking and IT Security, BSc (Hons) Multimedia Technology, BA (Hons) Business Administration, BA (Hons) International Business Management, BA (Hons) Digital Business Management, BA (Hons) Advertising and Marketing, and BA (Hons) Events and Tourism Management participated in the ceremony. Graduates from postgraduate programs including MSc IT, MBA, and Applied Security were also conferred their degrees.
Continuing its tradition of recognizing academic excellence, Islington College honored outstanding students through prestigious scholarships during the annual graduation ceremony. On this occasion, the Innovate Nepal Group Postgraduate Scholarship and the International Student House and London Metropolitan University Scholarship were awarded.
This year’s prestigious International Student House and London Metropolitan University Scholarship was awarded to Mr. Anush Nepal and Ms. Angana Bhattarai. The scholarship, valued at over NPR 15 million, covers tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and round-trip airfare.
Similarly, the Innovate Nepal Group Postgraduate Scholarship was awarded to Mr. Ams Ghimire and Ms. Ayesha Nakarmi. These students will continue their postgraduate studies at colleges under Innovate Nepal Group and will also receive opportunities to work within the group’s institutions.
The ceremony also recognized students who achieved outstanding academic results in various disciplines. Award recipients included Mr. Ashutosh Rajbhandari (MBA), Mr. Ams Ghimire (BSc Hons Computer Networking and IT Security), Mr. Sahas Shakya (BSc Hons Multimedia Technology), Mr. Kshitij Shrestha (BSc Hons Computing), Ms. Prashidika Tiwari (Topper, Final Year IT Project and BSc Hons Computing with Artificial Intelligence), Mr. Prayatna Rajkarnikar (Topper, BSc Hons Computing with Mobile Application Development), Mr. Anush Nepal (Topper, BA Hons Business Administration), and Ms. Pratiksha Gurung (Topper, BA Hons Accounting and Finance).
