Majestic Horizon Resort in Rupandehi set to open in April


Kathmandu: The Majestic Horizon Resort under construction in Omsatiya, Rupandehi, is scheduled to begin operations in April, according to the management of Majestic Horizon Resort Pvt. Ltd.

Established in 2024, the company is developing a four-star hotel featuring 82 rooms.

Located about six kilometres from the Bhairahawa customs point near the Indian border, the property will be operated under an agreement with Best Western Hotels & Resorts, linking it to an international hospitality brand.

The total project cost is estimated at Rs 943 million, with the investment structured at an 80:20 debt-to-equity ratio.

The company says construction has reached its final stage and preparations are underway to launch full hotel operations and related services.

Financially, the project has achieved around 67 percent progress, and the company has secured a credit rating to support long-term borrowing of Rs 680 million.

According to the rating details, about 9 percent of the loan arrangement has already been managed, while approval has been obtained for the remaining 91 percent of the planned debt.

The company is fully owned by Parag Gorkhali.
