NIC Asia Bank Provides Educational Support to Students at Shanti Sewa Griha

Kathmandu: As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, NIC Asia Bank has distributed educational materials to more than 150 students residing at Shanti Sewa Griha in Tilganga, Kathmandu.

The assistance was aimed at supporting the academic development of students living under the care of the long-running charitable institution. During a special event held on March 12, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Sujit Kumar Shakya and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Santosh Kumar Rathi, handed over school bags and other educational supplies to the organization’s Managing Director Apsara Karki.

Earlier this year, the bank also provided scholarships to underprivileged but talented students studying in grades 6 to 10 in government and community schools across all seven provinces. The scholarships targeted students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, marginalized communities and those with physical disabilities.

In previous years as well, NIC Asia Bank has supported academically promising students in public and community schools by offering scholarships. The bank has also contributed to improving educational infrastructure by constructing library buildings and establishing libraries in several government and community schools across the country.

The bank believes that the educational support provided to students at Shanti Sewa Griha will help improve their academic performance and encourage them to continue their studies with greater confidence.
