Kathmandu: Nepali market witnessed a drop in gold prices but a rise in silver prices on Tuesday.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation (NGSDF), the price of hallmarked gold decreased to Rs 193,000 per tola, down from Rs 193,600 per tola on Monday. This marks a decline of Rs 600 per tola in a single day.
In contrast, silver prices saw an upward trend. On Monday, silver was traded at Rs 2,295 per tola, but on Tuesday, its price increased to Rs 2,300 per tola, reflecting a Rs 5 per tola rise compared to the previous day.
The fluctuation in precious metal prices is influenced by global market trends, currency exchange rates, and domestic demand. Gold, often considered a safe-haven asset, tends to see volatility based on international economic conditions. Meanwhile, silver, which has both industrial and investment demand, may experience different price movements.
