Kathmandu: ICFC Finance recently organized a special ceremony to honour Sudhigya Panta and Sait Sharma for their remarkable achievement in successfully scaling Mount Everest.
The duo reached the summit of the world’s highest peak on May 19, 2026. The event was attended by the institution’s Chairman, Sushil Kumar Aryal, along with staff members, social leaders, business professionals, and various well-wishers.
During the program, the climbers were presented with certificates of appreciation, traditional shawls, and tokens of love. The institution highly commended their extraordinary courage, dedication, and willpower. Speakers at the event praised their discipline and steadfastness, noting their ability to remain committed to their goal despite the life-threatening risks and challenging conditions inherent in high-altitude mountaineering.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Sushil Kumar Aryal remarked that scaling Mount Everest is not merely a personal milestone but a significant matter of national pride and identity. He emphasized that such accomplishments serve as a powerful source of inspiration for the younger generation of Nepalis, fostering self-confidence, patriotism, and the ambition to achieve lofty goals.
Reflecting on their journey, the honoured climbers, Panta and Sharma, shared their personal experiences from the expedition. They discussed the numerous hurdles, risks, and moments of triumph they encountered while navigating the treacherous terrain of the Himalayas. They also took the opportunity to express their gratitude, attributing their success to the unwavering support of their families, supporting organizations, friends, and the collective goodwill of the Nepali people.
